The fourth port of Poland, located in Police on the Baltic coast, is getting a rail connection. An announcement to that end was already made in October of last year, but some additional details have now come out.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The rail connection is supposed to be done by 2027, and will involve an investment of the equivalent of approximately 74 million euros. Thirteen companies took part in the tender for the railway line\u2019s construction. A contract for the construction is to be signed in the second quarter of the year.<\/p>\n

Alongside the connection between Police station and the port, the port will get five side tracks and a road viaduct.<\/p>\n

Ambitious plans for the Police port<\/h2>\n

Chemical company Grupa Azoty Police, which has a 99,98 per cent share in the port authority, hopes that the investment will boost the port\u2019s transshipment capacity. “The Grupa Azoty Police Sea Port is our great asset, which we want to make the most of, especially now – during the period of intensive search for solutions to restore the financial stability of Grupa Azoty. We have ambitious plans related to the development of port areas\u201d, the vice president of the company said.<\/p>\n
