The DC-1 was the first model of the famous DC aircraft series, and Douglas used the DC-1 as a basis to develop its DC-2 variant and later, the hugely successful             <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\" data-id=\"255095\"style=\";  ;\" class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/douglas-dc-3\/\"  >Douglas DC-3<\/a><\/span>.
