New signalling systems are being implemented along 167 kilometres of railways.<\/strong><br \/>\n<span id=\"more-59265\"><\/span>Moreover, Rail &amp; Truck, which will operate the trains, received the first three locomotives from Stadler. The three locomotives are part of an order for seven Stadler Euro6000 electric locomotives and 150 wagons for the transport of semi-trailers. For these initiatives, the company received over 45 million euros from Spain\u2019s Recovery and Resilience Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The new signalling will concern the provinces of C\u00f2rdoba and Jaen. The first stretch is a 92.5-kilometre line between C\u00f2rdoba and Lora del R\u00edo, for an investment of 67.63 million euros. The second section is between Espel\u00fay and Pe\u00f1alajo, 74 kilometres long, for 63 million euros. In total, the investments will be a little over 130.6 million euros.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"readmore\">\n<div class=\"readmore-item\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.railfreight.com\/infrastructure\/2024\/12\/30\/adif-to-invest-45-million-euros-for-sidings-along-algeciras-zaragoza-line\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.railfreight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Epila-station-128x128.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"readmore-thumbnail\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"readmore-info\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.railfreight.com\/infrastructure\/2024\/12\/30\/adif-to-invest-45-million-euros-for-sidings-along-algeciras-zaragoza-line\/\" class=\"readmore-title\">Adif to invest 45 million euros for sidings along Algeciras-Zaragoza line<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The project will include the installation of 36 new interlocking systems, fixed and illuminated signals and telecommunications. In addition, this equipment will be integrated into the centralised traffic control system to manage traffic remotely and in real time.
