Boeing is one of the largest defense contractors in the world, with its business more or less evenly split between its commercial interests (mostly commercial passenger jets) and military contracts (mostly military aircraft). 2024 was a challenging year for Boeing (        <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink-article\" data-id=\"2038899\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/boeing-deliveries-2024\/\" >it only delivered 348 commercial passenger jets<\/a><\/span>), although         <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink-article\" data-id=\"2035420\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/israel-inks-52-billion-deal-boeing-25-f-15s\/\" >Israel also signed a contract to purchase 25 F-15EX Strike Eagle IIs<\/a><\/span> (likely the final Eagle variant).
