{"id":164358,"date":"2025-01-06T10:28:32","date_gmt":"2025-01-06T00:28:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/?p=118260"},"modified":"2025-01-06T10:28:32","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T00:28:32","slug":"inland-rail-bridge-opens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=164358","title":{"rendered":"Inland Rail bridge opens"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/WAN-Green-Street-bridge-opening-first-car_20241218_184-SC-EC-1920x0-c-default.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;\"><figcaption>Image\/Inland Rail<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Inland Rail, construction partners McConnell Dowell, has removed the traffic barriers to allow the flow traffic and pedestrians over the rail line for the first time since January 2024.<\/strong><span id=\"more-118260\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>IN a statement Inland Rail said it would like to thank the residents of <a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/wangaratta\/\">Wangaratta<\/a>\u00a0for their patience and understanding while works were taking place on the bridge.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/wangaratta-bridge-to-close-for-inland-rail-work\/\">project<\/a> needed to replace the bridge and lower the railway tracks to create the required clearances for the safe passage of double-stacked freight trains.
