At this time, we are unable to restore backbone connectivity to Taipei.<\/p>\n<p>Restoration will be dependent on the completion of the listed cable repairs.<\/p>\n<p><small>Apr <var data-var='date'> 7<\/var>, <var data-var='time'>12:40<\/var> UTC<\/small><br \/><strong>Update<\/strong> &#8211; Based on some back channel discussions, we find it likely this cable system won&#8217;t be repaired for at least 6 months at this stage.<\/p>\n<p>Should we get information that we can share regarding any potential repair we&#8217;ll update, otherwise this status may end up un-changed for some time going forward.<\/p>\n<p><small>Jan <var data-var='date'> 6<\/var>, <var data-var='time'>06:11<\/var> UTC<\/small><br \/><strong>Update<\/strong> &#8211; This has been confirmed as a cut roughly 1100km from Wada (Japan).<\/p>\n<p>No official ETR yet.<\/p>\n<p><small>Jan <var data-var='date'> 5<\/var>, <var data-var='time'>02:01<\/var> UTC<\/small><br \/><strong>Identified<\/strong> &#8211; We have noted a fault on segment AB (Japan to Taiwan) of the RNAL submarine cable system. At this stage, we are still awaiting updates, as the damage investigation remains ongoing. No estimated time of resolution (ETR) has been provided yet.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic has automatically been rerouted through alternative paths.
