As of the time of writing (December 2024), the last CH-53E mishap occurred just a week ago when a Super Stallion assigned to the Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 466 was <a href=\"https:\/\/asn.flightsafety.org\/wikibase\/467757\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" >destroyed near Camp Pendleton<\/a>, California.
