The base and its host unit have operated some of         <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink-article\" data-id=\"2037833\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/5-us-military-surveillance-aircraft-made-history\/\" >the US&#8217;s most iconic spy aircraft that made history<\/a><\/span> (and continue to make history). Beale Air Force Base is located in California around 40 miles north of Sacramento.
