The next couple of years will be key for the development of the TEN-T Mediterranean Corridor in Spain. Valencia should be equipped with a standard gauge over the next three years, said Josep-Vicent Boira, Commissioner of the corridor.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The standard gauge connection to Valencia will create a link to the railways for large companies including Seat, Ford and PowerCo Sagunto. Boira also underlined that the ports of Valencia, Sagunto and Tarragona will get connected to the Mediterranean Corridor between 2024 and 2026.<\/p>\n

Updates also came from Jos\u00e9 Antonio Sebasti\u00e1n, Commissioner of the TEN-T Atlantic Corridor. He pointed out that the number of tenders put out for infrastructure development will double by 2025, reaching 2.5 billion euros. Moreover, the M\u00e9rida-Puertollano railway, connecting Portugal to Valencia bypassing Madrid, will be built between 2027 and 2032.<\/p>\n
