Previously seen as an interim solution in anticipation of Icelandair\u2019s first             <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\" data-id=\"739508\"style=\";  ;\" class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/a321xlr\/\"  >Airbus A321XLR<\/a><\/span> delivery slated for 2029, the new aircraft will serve to replace the carrier\u2019s aging Boeing 757 fleet.
