{"id":15304,"date":"2024-02-27T16:37:32","date_gmt":"2024-02-27T06:37:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=15304"},"modified":"2024-02-27T16:37:39","modified_gmt":"2024-02-27T06:37:39","slug":"inland-rail-reveals-designs-of-three-new-broadford-bridges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=15304","title":{"rendered":"Inland Rail Reveals Designs of Three New Broadford Bridges"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Marchbanks Road, Short and Hamilton Street bridges in Broadford need to be rebuilt to provide clearance for taller double-stacked freight trains to pass underneath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The design features of the new bridges include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/mitchell-shire\/#marchbanks-road?utm_source=miragenews&amp;utm_medium=miragenews&amp;utm_campaign=news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Marchbanks Road<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a new higher bridge built with wider lanes and road shoulders (also pictured above).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/mitchell-shire\/#hamilton-street-bridge?utm_source=miragenews&amp;utm_medium=miragenews&amp;utm_campaign=news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hamilton Street<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a combination of a track lower and a new raised bridge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A new roundabout will also be built at the Hamilton and Ferguson Street intersection and pedestrian connectivity will be improved with a new pedestrian path on the northern side of the bridge and a shared user path on the south.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/mitchell-shire\/#short-street?utm_source=miragenews&amp;utm_medium=miragenews&amp;utm_campaign=news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Short Street<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a combination of a track lower and a new raised bridge with pedestrian connectivity improved via a new pedestrian path on the northern side of the bridge and a shared user path on the south.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ARTC Inland Rail has worked hard to deliver safe and compliant designs that meet agency requirements and community expectations, incorporating community feedback where possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A month-long community consultation period will begin to gather feedback on the proposed layouts, look, feel, and interface with surrounding areas of the three bridges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested parties can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/mitchell-shire\/?utm_source=miragenews&amp;utm_medium=miragenews&amp;utm_campaign=news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">view the designs online<\/a>&nbsp;from Monday 26 February 2024.
