Image\/Inland Rail<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.com.au\/\">Inland Rail<\/a> has shared the latest designs for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/inland-rail-unveils-designs-for-three-new-broadford-bridges\/\">two new replacement<\/a> bridges in Broadford and is inviting the local community to share their feedback before construction begins next year.<\/strong><span id=\"more-117986\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hamilton and Short Street bridges will be replaced, and the railway tracks lowered to allow sufficient clearance for double-stacked freight trains to pass safely.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New visualisations highlight upgraded bridges with new traffic connections, improved pedestrian safety, and the reinstated Rupert Street playground.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other community benefits of the latest designs include: a safer intersection at Hamilton and High streets, improved layout at Catherine Court, traffic calming measures when approaching Broadford, a gateway creating a welcome entry to town and shared use paths on both bridges and a network of connected pathways.<\/p>\n<p>Ed Walker, Inland Rail Delivery Director Beveridge to Albury said the organisation has worked closely with the local community to design safer and more accessible bridges across the railway line in Broadford.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe three Broadford bridges are being designed as a \u2018family\u2019, incorporating a consistent form, shape and colour into the design of the bridges,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPedestrians will be safely separated from the roadway and connected to new pathways to make it easier to move around town.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOver the next month we encourage the community to tell us what they think about the new designs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The community is also invited to have their say on landscaping, bridge artwork, playground equipment and the design of town entry signs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Updated designs for the third Broadford replacement bridge at Marchbanks Road will be shared next year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inland Rail and construction partner, John Holland will be available to discuss the latest designs, outline the next steps and collect community feedback at a series of information sessions and online until Sunday 15 December.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The community can have their say by:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Dropping into information sessions at the Country Soul Caf\u00e9, 1\/70 High Street, Broadford\n<ul>\n<li>Wednesdays 10am-2pm,<\/li>\n<li>Monday 18 and 25 November 10am-2pm,<\/li>\n<li>Saturday 23 and 30 November 10am-1pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Visiting the website inlandrail.info\/broadforddesign<\/li>\n<li>Completing the online survey<\/li>\n<li>Can\u2019t make these times?
