Turkish state rolling stock manufacturer T\u00fcrasa\u015f will produce 100 military-civilian freight wagons. It introduced the new dual-use wagon in September. Whereas the focus is on military transportation, it is also suitable for container traffic, and they might also be seen in Europe in the future.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>T\u00fcrasa\u015f plans to build the 100 wagons in 2025. The model was designed specifically to transport Turkish military vehicles that are difficult to move overland. Nevertheless, once it gets the proper certification, they could also enter the European network as container wagons. It can carry 40-foot and 45-foot size containers.<\/p>\n

The wagons have a maximum speed of 100 kilometres per hour and a load capacity of 86 tonnes. It is produced almost entirely domestically, with only the brake system being outsourced. The currently existing prototype wagons still need to undergo dynamic brake and noise tests before T\u00fcrasa\u015f can go ahead with production.<\/p>\n
