The shutting down of 3G services across Australia will leave many without viable cellular coverage and carriers are aware. Gone are signal connections on long highways and remote locations. The same issues happened with the shutdown of CDMA a better technical standard with longer range to customers from the cell tower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Australia is a country where 5G is really not viable and the business case not strong for regional areas and there are a lot of regional areas in Australia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are beginning to witness the disaster this turning off 3G will have on Australia and the Economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3G services really needed to be maintained in Australia being a vast country. Australia is not a Hong Kong it is a major continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An additional issue is again how the PTV and the government (probably Victrack) have failed again to manage the situation properly. It doesn’t seem to matter what transport project is being delivered in Victoria ultimately it becomes a shambles. Various projects not delivered correctly include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • The botched Murray Basin Rail Project<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The botched and suspect awarding by Ben Carroll of the new Myki Contract already over budget and behind<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Melbourne Port Rail Shuttles<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Ballarat West Intermodal terminal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The HMCT Trains years behind schedule<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Ouyen Freight Terminal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The replacement or lack of for longer distance trains thinking the Vlocity trains would be accepted. Wrong<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The budget blow-out of the new Metro Tunnel and the impacts it will have on the hospitals around Parkville<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The mess that has become the North East Line<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The removal of the South Gippsland Rail Line despite assurances this would not happen<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Bairnsdale Intermodal Terminal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The cutting off of the grain line to Dookie despite customers complaining about it not being accessible<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The mismanagement of the line between Bendigo and Inglewood<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The destruction of the important rail line between Maryborough and Castlemaine<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Portland North Intermodal Terminal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
