href=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/rail-industry-news-australia-new-zealand\/state-based-news\/victoria\/\">Victorian Government<\/a> is extending train services across the Ballarat, Albury and Bendigo lines \u2013 delivering more public transport connections for regional passengers.<\/span><\/strong><span id=\"more-117823\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">Minister for Public and Active Transport Gabrielle Williams announced that a new V\/Line <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vline.com.au\/\">timetable<\/a> will deliver a range of new travel options for regional passengers on some of Victoria\u2019s busiest lines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">The timetable will take effect on Sunday, 1 December, with Ballarat Line passengers set to benefit from three evening peak services extending to Bacchus Marsh instead of terminating at Melton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">\u201cWe\u2019re adding almost 100 new services across Victoria\u2019s regional public transport network \u2013 making it easier for Victorians to get to where they need to go,\u201d Williams said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">\u201cWe\u2019re delivering more modern and reliable trains, and giving passengers more travel options to travel around our state.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">The five morning and five afternoon Bacchus Marsh services will also have journey time savings of three to five minutes, making travel easier and more convenient for those passengers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">Responding to the increased popularity of V\/Line service following our introduction of fairer fares, the two special weekend services we have introduced on the Albury and Bendigo lines will also be made permanent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">The Government\u2019s regional fare cap has transformed the way people travel around the state, with more than 33 million train trips taken across the network and more than $90 million saved since it was introduced last year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p
