The project, valued at 750 million lei (approximately 150 million euros), is supposed to be built over the course of two years.<\/strong><br \/>\n<span id=\"more-57405\"><\/span>The new rail access would be the second entry point for rail into the Constanta port. The construction project, for which \u201ctechnical-economic indicators\u201d were approved by the government, includes a renovation of an existing 3,5-kilometre rail line as well as an approximately 500-metre tunnel, an extension of said tunnel towards the Palas station on the outskirts of Constanta, and lastly, electrification of rail lines in the port\u2019s zone A.<\/p>\n<p>As Romania&#8217;s largest port, the Constanta is a key logistics hub, including within the framework of the Middle Corridor.
