Dutton Park station reopened to customers on Monday 21 October, providing a new and more accessible station for the local community.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The station includes new accessible entry points on Noble Street and Annerley Road, two new high-level platforms to make boarding the train easier, and a new an overpass for better access to the platforms.<\/p>\n

Three new lifts and stairs have also been installed, while the two new accessible entries include shade canopies, seating, drinking fountains and footpaths.<\/p>\n

Cross River Rail<\/a> Delivery Authority Chief Executive Officer Graeme Newton said the accessibility features will make a real difference for the public.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Delivery Authority is pleased to do its part to make train travel easier for everyone across the network,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cStation accessibility rebuilds like the one at Dutton Park go beyond Cross River Rail\u2019s core scope of works, including the twin tunnels and four new underground stations, but they\u2019re just as important.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe local community will benefit from new lifts, stairs and a new overpass to make catching the train easier, with more features to come, including accessible parking bays and a secure bicycle shelter, as construction continues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Works are ongoing at the station, with a full opening expected in late 2025.<\/p>\n

Dutton Park is the fourth upgraded and accessible station to reopen on Brisbane\u2019s southside as part of wider Cross River Rail works, with Yeronga, Fairfield and Rocklea stations already servicing customers.<\/p>\n

Bundamba station will also reopen next Monday as one of six stations being upgraded as part of Queensland Rail\u2019s Station Accessibility Upgrade Program.<\/p>\n
