Just to be clear – Labor has started a secret review of weapons export permits to Israel – and it\u2019s being done by Defence – the same people who have already falsely stated we are not sending weapons to Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The comments of David Shoebridge have some validity. The Australian Defence Force has been poorly run for years with scandal after scandal with procurement disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new multi-billion procurement disaster is currently unfolding<\/a> and it is called AUKUS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sources said the Department of Defence was weighing up each permit on a case-by-case basis and considering how it fits with Australia\u2019s international obligations, including with respect to human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
