Two Romanian logistics companies and Kazakh Railways (KTZ) are strengthening their cooperation for rail logistics. KTZ\u2019s freight logistics subsidiary KTZ Express signed a memorandum of cooperation with Grampet Group, and intends to work together with GP Intermodal to organise rail service between Romania and Kazakhstan.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Grampet Group and KTZ Express will be working on expanding and modernising infrastructure in the Romanian Port of Constanta, an important logistics hub for the Middle Corridor in the Black Sea. The cooperation \u201caims to streamline rail traffic for the transport of goods between Europe and Asia, especially on the China-Europe-China route\u201d, according to Grampet Group.<\/p>\n

For its part, GP Intermodal agreed with KTZ Express on offering each other rail transportation services. Within the framework of their cooperation, the former will take on European transport, whereas the Kazakh company will offer services in Asia.<\/p>\n

“We are optimistic about the future of rail transport, both in Romania and in the region. We have ambitious goals, and together with our partners at KTZ Express we can turn them into reality\u201d, said Gruia Stoica, president of Grampet Group.<\/p>\n

The Middle Corridor will be one of the key topics to be discussed at the European Silk Road Summit 2024<\/a>, taking place in Vienna on 27-28 November.<\/p>\n

Registrations<\/a>\u00a0for the yearly event are already open, while the\u00a0programme<\/a>, which this year highlights the fast-recovering China-Europe rail market, is shaping up.<\/p>\n
