NACA was NASA&#8217;s forerunner, starting with humble beginnings in             <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\" data-id=\"54852\"style=\";  ;\" class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\"><span>World War I<\/span><\/span> and significantly contributing to aircraft design by             <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\" data-id=\"54853\"style=\";  ;\" class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\"><span>World War II<\/span><\/span>. In the Cold War, NACA&#8217;s role became ever-increasingly             <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\" data-id=\"192221\"style=\";  ;\" class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/space\/\"  >space<\/a><\/span> related, causing it to be remodeled into NASA.
