However, the Air Force is not the only US &#8220;air force&#8221; &#8211; the Marines, Army, and        <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink-article\" data-id=\"2033292\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/props-to-jets-us-navy-fighters-transitioned-wwii-modern-day\/\" >Navy operate their own combat air wings<\/a><\/span>, while the Space Force is part of the Department of the Air Force.
