Her command was passed on to             <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\" data-id=\"1835\"style=\";  ;\" class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/air-force\/\"  >Air Force<\/a><\/span> General Randall Reed. Ovost was first promoted to general in 2020, and at the time, she was the only woman in the US military to hold that rank.
