The new wagons will be used for transporting bulk goods during track maintenance and repairs.<\/strong><br \/>\n<span id=\"more-56803\"><\/span>\u201cWhen emptying the wagon, gravity is used &#8211; four discharge openings with rotating slides allow finely controlled emptying on both sides of the wagon, between the rails and next to them\u201d, the Slovakian company highlighted. This means that no external power source is required.<\/p>\n<p>The contract was awarded to \u017dOS Trnava in April 2021 for a total of 13.9 million euros. The locomotive manufacturer specialises in the field of self-dump wagons. For this project, \u017dOS Trnava designed two functional prototypes of the freight wagon to conduct tests for Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI).
