As a quadjet, the             <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\" data-id=\"70735\"style=\";  ;\" class=\"display-card-hyperlink display-card-hyperlink-no-vignette\"><span>Airbus A380<\/span><\/span> could still fly, but it needed to make an emergency landing at Canada&#8217;s Goose Bay military airport. This was the second of two uncontained engine failures suffered by the Airbus A380 powered by a Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engine (        <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink-article\" data-id=\"7947\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/qantas-flight-32-uncontained-engine-faliure\/\" >the previous being Qantas Flight 32 in 2010<\/a><\/span>).
