Two rail freight services serving the Hungarian capital Budapest, both suitable for the transportation of non-cranable semi-trailers, are being introduced over the next few months. One, launched by Helrom, will start today 2 October 2024, while the second one, led by CFL multimodal, is expected to start operations in the first quarter of next year.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The more imminent service, the one operated by Helrom, will connect Budapest with D\u00fcsseldorf, in northwestern Germany. \u201cDaily departures are planned in both directions six days a week\u201d, the company said. From Hungary, it will be possible to catch cargo in the areas of Slovakia and Romania as well. From D\u00fcsseldorf, on the other hand, cargo can be attracted from the Ruhr region in Germany, the Benelux area as well as Great Britain.<\/p>\n
