Other than the prioritisation of rail freight along the Tullnerfelder line, this recovery was made possible by various diversions, including \u201cvia the southern route and Summerau\u201d. The Tullnerfelder line connects Tulln and St. P\u00f6lten, west of Vienna.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"readmore\">\n<div class=\"readmore-item\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.railfreight.com\/infrastructure\/2024\/09\/25\/old-westbahn-to-reopen-on-10-october-several-months-for-the-new-one\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.railfreight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Floods-in-Austria-128x128.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"readmore-thumbnail\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"readmore-info\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.railfreight.com\/infrastructure\/2024\/09\/25\/old-westbahn-to-reopen-on-10-october-several-months-for-the-new-one\/\" class=\"readmore-title\">Old Westbahn to reopen on 10 October, \u2018several months\u2019 for the new one<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Concerning the most impacted (and most important) line in Austria, the Westbahn between Vienna and St. P\u00f6lten, things are going according to plan. \u201cWe also expect further relief with the planned opening of the second track on the old Western Line from 10 October\u201d.
