The man was walking by the light rail when he was set upon, with the alleged offender fleeing the scene as police appeal for information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A man has been stabbed in the back while walking outside a light rail in Sydney. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emergency services were called to Darling Road in Haymarket about 4.20pm on Sunday after reports of an assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police were told a 22-year-old man was walking near the Chinatown light rail stop when he was stabbed in the back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A man allegedly fled the scene and ran towards Darling Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n

Paramedics treated the 22-year-old at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was then taken to St Vincent\u2019s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A crime scene has been established and an investigation launched into the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police are hoping to speak with a man they believe may be able to assist in the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n
