The past week has seen an UP Melbourne from Albury service and an evening down Albury service from Melbourne replaced by buses. Since the introduction of the Velocity sets and the removal of the N set longer distance rolling stock seating capacity has been removed on the route leading to overcrowding of services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\/Line are now only running 3 car sets on some services between Albury and Melbourne and the snack bar (well you could call it that but it is worse) has not always operated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\/Line’s track record on longer distance services and their plan to drive service on trains to nothing is well in swing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bairnsdale passengers are now even worse off with no onboard catering or food\/drink for 4 hours<\/a> (a longer journey than Albury) a major step backwards for service on the Gippsland line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warrnambool line passengers are now facing the same pathetic outcome<\/a> as the Bairnsdale Line and Albury passengers are now facing buses as their rail service is replaced.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
