The                                 <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink-article\" data-id=\"2028334\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/analysis-why-russia-su-35-fighter-jets-trouble-finding-buyers-even-before-ukraine\/\" >Egyptians had ordered Russian Su-35S fighter jets<\/a><\/span>                                        in 2018. However, the United States compelled Egypt to cancel the order as part of its effort to chock off Russian military exports under the CAASTA Act (                                <span class=\"display-card-hyperlink-article\" data-id=\"2026348\"><a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/analysis-iran-su-35-russia\/\" >these jets are now being sold to Iran<\/a><\/span>                                        ). Then to Egypt in 2018, but this has since fallen through.
