This provides rail operators with the ability to identify:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>if a vehicle doesn&#8217;t stop at a level crossing and capture vehicle details, including license plate and vehicle classification, vehicle types, colour, make, and model.<\/li>\n<li>the number of vehicles waiting (how many per hour) and allowing them to adjust wait times accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>vehicles of interest for maintenance rosters, schedules, compliance checks, etc. ensuring teams carry out routine maintenance checks regularly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rail operators are also given greater situational awareness by receiving alert for the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>monitoring and predicting near misses before they happen (of vehicles or pedestrians at rail crossings). The algorithms will learn how vehicles move prior to an incident and near misses.
