The service had carried 3000 passengers in its first four days, compared with 1000 each month on the old Airport Flyer, Wellington mayor Andy Foster said during his election announcement on Newstalk ZB on Thursday morning. \\<br \/>\n \\<br \/>\nMetlink\u2019s network and customer manager David Boyd said he was \u201cdelighted with the number of people\u201d. \\<br \/>\n \\<br \/>\n\u201cIt is clear by the strong start that latent demand for this Metlink service is high.
