With mainly the Painting and Prep team once again attending, it was a busy and noisy day as we got cracking on the body sides of RBr 1675.<\/span><\/p>\n

With both Stu and Ian working on the Cotswold side, Pam transferred to the Malvern side emergency door. As with the opposite door where she was working on Saturday, it was a case of cleaning up the sides and the doorframe ready for painting. <\/span> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Both Stu and Ian got cracking on the filling where the skirting plates had been joined and any other welds had been made.<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

 Back to the Malvern side where Richard completed the initial greening with primer. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

 He later moved on to more etch priming on the aluminium window frames.<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

After a lot of filling and sanding Stu greens up along almost the entire length of the coach. This will show up where yet more filler is needed. <\/span> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

I spent another day working on the south end corridor connection and underneath the roof end. Maurice kindly cleaned up the chequerplate.<\/span> <\/p>\n

Afterwards it was back to the GW\/SR van adding further dark grey undercoat where needed.<\/span>

Ainsley worked on two of the doors on the Cotswold side of FK 13326, reinstating back panels. The one above will need some stain and then varnishing.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

With the rain now eased off, time for a break from the buzz of the sanders to take a stroll along the platforms to view the “new” mixed rakes. The “Maroon” or 2nd Rake now includes chocolate&cream TSO 5042 at the north end and at the front the newly repainted NYMR TSO 25488.<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The “Chocolate&Cream” or 1st Rake now includes two maroon coaches, with CK 16195 at the south end. Be interesting to see how the 3rd Rake will be made up.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
