WMRE added that the new stations would be built on existing lines and named with input from local residents.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c3gkd9qv4jjo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A disused former railway station in Cirencester is due to be repaired, with councillors discussing how it could be used in future, according to BBC News.<\/p>\n<p>Cotswold District Council\u2019s cabinet has agreed to invest \u00a3158,000 in the repair of the Old Station, which has stood empty for several years.<\/p>\n<p>New Brewery Arts withdrew from the renovation proposal, and the council is now looking at other options \u2013 adding that structural instabilities would be addressed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-gloucestershire-68276095\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A railway line in the Highlands of Scotland has been closed completely after sustaining \u201csignificant\u201d damage to its sea defences, STV News reports.<\/p>\n<p>According to Network Rail, the stretch of railway between Brora and Helmsdale remains closed today (Tuesday 13 February), after structural engineers went out to inspect it on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>It said that remedial works were due to begin later today.
