margin:0 0 10px 10px;\"><figcaption>Image\/Sydney Metro<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Minister for Transport Jo Haylen has confirmed that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sydneymetro.info\/citysouthwest\/project-overview\">Sydney Metro<\/a> City section will open for passengers on the 19th of August after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/sydney-metro-city-opening-delayed\/\">delay<\/a> earlier this month.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-117141\"><\/span>This city section of what will be known as the M1 Northwest &amp; Bankstown Line includes an additional 15.5-kilometres of metro rail extending the North West line from Chatswood, below the harbour and through the Sydney CBD, to Sydenham.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Haylen said that the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) had ticked off the project after it delayed the opening in early August.<\/p>\n<p>After several months of testing and trial runs, the line will begin taking passengers from Tuesday with stations receiving &#8216;touch ups&#8217;
