“Two U.S. servicemen who gave statements: One was John Sezhwach, a radio man on the USS Brownson, who stated that an UFO came out of the ocean on Jan\/17 17\/47 at 0700 hours, and from the pilot house, we saw bright lights for several minutes. The bright lights ascended about 45 degrees into the sky very quickly; we could not identify the object because our radar was good for only 250 miles in a straight line.<\/p>\n

There was also John Sayorson, a flying boat pilot, who stated, \u201cThe thing shot out of the water with tremendous velocity and flew between the masts of our ship, causing our antenna to oscillate back and forth from it\u2019s turbulence. A Martin flying boat that just took off from Currituck was struck by an unknown ray and crashed 10 miles from our vessel. Minutes later, the Torpedo boat Maddox burst into flames and sank.\u201d<\/p>\n
