{"id":104940,"date":"2024-08-09T12:47:03","date_gmt":"2024-08-09T02:47:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=104940"},"modified":"2024-08-09T12:47:27","modified_gmt":"2024-08-09T02:47:27","slug":"bnsf-derailment-at-red-oak-indiana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=104940","title":{"rendered":"BNSF derailment at Red Oak, Indiana"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At approximately 6:05am on August 8, 2024, the Montgomery County Communications Center received a call from Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) <a><\/a>Railroad, reporting a train derailment with a vehicle involved in the area of Bluegrass Rd x East Nuckols St in Red Oak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency crews arrived on scene and found a BNSF train with (4) grain cars derailed in the south ditch with one grain car on top of a parked Railcrew Xpress transportation vehicle. The driver of the transportation vehicle was able to self-extricate from the vehicle under his own power and was transported to Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no current threat or hazard to the public at this time. East Nuckols Street and Bluegrass Rd will be closed for an extended period of time for cleanup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped
