Adif has kicked off an important project concerning connectivity in and around the port of Valencia. The Fonteta de Sant Llu\u00eds intermodal terminal, located just next to the port\u2019s docks, is about to undergo upgrades aiming at the implementation of standard gauge tracks. The plan is for the terminal to acquire a seamless connection to the Mediterranean TEN-T Corridor, considering its critical position for inland-sea transport.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The current series of works will last until 7 September. According to the Spanish Infrastructure Manager, they include the adaptation of catenary lines, the installation of six track switches, and the installation of control, command, and signalling equipment. The completion of these works will also mark the end of Phase 1 of the terminal\u2019s standard gauge adaptation project.<\/p>\n
