Austrian rail freight operator Rail Cargo Group (RCG) will launch a new service connecting Serbia, Hungary and Germany. The trains will serve Kru\u0161evac, in central Serbia, the BILK terminal in Budapest, and Duisburg.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The service runs once per week in each direction, RCG specified. The Austrian company has been increasing its presence in Serbia over the past couple of years. For example, RCG established a subsidiary in Serbia, called Rail Cargo Carrier – Southeast<\/a>, which provides traction with its own staff and locomotives in the country at the beginning of 2023.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the Austrian company started a joint venture focussing on intermodal transport with Serbian logistics company Transfera<\/a> in June 2024. RCG\u2019s expansion outside of the Austrian borders is also reflected in the acquisition of Captrain Netherlands<\/a>, finalised at the end of May.<\/p>\n
